Finding a Boat
The starting gates were about to open, and I had to find myself a boat.
When I got down to the rocky bed, I looked over at a foot of the bank nearby. It was the spot. The natural way of the stream had dug into the wall, and overtime left a pool of water circling and swirling, and because the water drained slower than usual, the outsides of the pool had captured different sized wood. The perfect stick getter.
I wanted one skinny but not too skinny, and long but not too long, able to get through tight spots, but heavy enough to speed down a rapid if given the chance. And this I found. We'll call it...'The Blue Jet Bullet Submarine', the 'SUB' for short.
John was already on the other side by this time. He found a big, thick stick. The 'YACHT'.
Aaron had grabbed a tiny, little twig known as the 'SPEEDER'. It was built for getting in between cracks, in case pushed off course.
